On the beautiful grounds of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel there are many statues of Mary. One, the Scapular Vision of St. Simon Stock,
has been chosen as the site for a "Mary Garden"
.

Mary Gardens date back to medieval times .

The Flowers of Our Lady were devotionally named as symbols of
the life, virtues and mysteries of the Blessed Virgin and her Divine
Son in the oral traditions of the medieval country sides  -
circulated by itinerate preachers, mendicant friars, wandering
minstrels, roving players, pilgrims, merchants, missionaries and
other travelers.

Join us as in the process as we take a journey to create a tribute to Our Lady.

Our goal is to be done by July 16th, the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. During our
celebration we will have Bishop Lagonegro dedicate and bless the garden.

Pray that we may meet our goal and thus pay tribute to the mother of us all.
