The grounds at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel are among the most beautiful anywhere. We have taken advantage of this and created many areas where pilgrims can go and enjoy the beauty and commune with
God, Mary and the Saints of Carmel.
Our Lady of Knock Shrine St Joseph Shrine and Gazebo
This depiction of Mary honors Our Lady's Apparition in Knock, Ireland in 1879, while reminding pilgrims of our Irish roots.
Out door Masses are sometimes held at the Altar here.
Many people stop to pray before this statue honoring St. Joseph, husband to Mary and foster-father to Jesus.
The Carmelites have a special devotion to St. Joseph
and consider him the principal protector of our Order.
A beautiful gazebo, adjacent to the statue, offers a comfortable place for extended prayer and reflection.
St. Simon Stock Scapular Vision Shrine

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Shrine

This Shrine depicts St. Simon Stock receiving the Scapular from Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The Brown Scapular has become the "Habit" of the order and
denotes our dedication to Mary, as Mother and Sister.
This is our oldest outdoor Shrine, dedicated to
 Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

It remains one of the more popular destinations for pilgrims. It overlooks a lake and gives visitors a unique opportunity to experience Mary in a tranquil outdoor setting.
